Welcome to my site! I am Rosalind Redshaw, author of the book A Long Way From Sunday, which is the true story of my thirteen-month trip through Africa in the mid 1990s. You can check out the book and more about the trip here. Also on this site are some of my favourite books. I'm usually drawn to literary or historical fiction, quirky and original stories, and of course true stories about other people's adventures. If you have some favourites, let me know!

Now and then I write other stuff and have had articles published in the magazines Great Walks, Australasian Mountainbike and travel mag Africa. Once upon a time I was a graphic designer and photographer. I have since changed careers, but I still love being creative and chasing the perfect shot.

I live on the east coast of Australia and regularly go hiking and camping in beautiful places—usually with the bare minimum, so I can renew my appreciation of hot showers and a soft pillow!
